shopping for a 9mm

i was at insight shooting range in artesia trying out what they had in 9mm. great place. what do you think? I like the feel of the barretta fs92 and the cz 01. im not a good shot by any means but if your looking to try out some pistols, insight has a great variety.
5 shot groups for each target.

Insight is nice spot.....though. for shotgun use, you have to use their ammo that's way overpriced for 10rnds at 5 bucks...when a block of 100 at walmart is18ish...other then that nice place

i hate the new owner of that place. he set the targets closer that before. just so no paper lands on the bullet catch and will not allow to shoot at playing cards but to buy his targets. i prefer shooting outdoors

I think they also have an m&P but i didnt see it or it was out. They also had sigs probably 12 different makes and models of 9mm. We also tried a number of 1911s. Its a great place to try out a variety of guns. You only pay $10 to shoot any gun in their inventory (other ranges charge a per gun use). if your in the market and want to do a side by side comparison,

but they have one of the furthest indoor available. most places around LA/OC area are 15 to 30 ft. the full back is at 20 yards.

i go there 4-5 times a week and most cant shoot accurately beyond 10 yds. from what i can see, less than 5% of the shooters can shoot their pistol accurately out to that distance.

also, i've seem so many shooters shot their target carries at 5 yds. let along doing head shot with shotguns at 5 yds. so shooting cards with the metal carries is just not safe. they do allow you to tape your cards onto a cardboard. so ask them for board and tape next time you go.

the only thing i have to say is that due to the nature of their business, their gun might not be in the top performance shape. i.e. normal wear and tear, thus the true accuracy potential may differ between a new gun to their gun.

but in general, their guns are maintain and safe.
