Just ordered cleaning supplies...missing anything?

Hey all,

So I just made my first order for cleaning supplies on Midwayusa for my first gun which I will soon be picking up. This is what I ended up ordering:

1.Breakfree CLP (liquid)
2.Wilson Combat Ultima-lube II Universal
3.Otis double ended nylon cleaning brushes
4.Dewey 9" brass cleaning rod w/patch loop
5.Dewey 44/45 cal brass jag
6.Dewey 45cal bronze bore brush
7.Dewey 44/45cal nylon bore brush (wanted a different one, but others were out of stock)
8.Southern Bloomer 2 1/2" cotton cleaning patches

I also bought one Wilson 47D mag.

I was wondering if you guys see anything missing? I wasn't sure what I should use for the barrel so I didn't order any specific bore cleaners but i'm guessing at least for the first cleaning out the box, CLP will do fine. I was gonna order a boresnake but I read that it was only good for quick field cleaning and isn't a full substitute for cleaning rods.

I also decided to use Ultima-lube as the lube for my gun. But now it seems that FP-10 is the overwhelming favorite for lubrication so i'm not sure if I should use that instead. At the moment I'm hoping that the ultima-lube will be just fine and that most modern lubes will mostly perform the same...like comparing synthetic motor oils.

just a word on froglube, It is cleaning out a very fouled barrel as we speak...way better than what my break free clp and wipe out barrel cleaner has done. it went from black when i started(this is after using the other cleaners too) to partially shinny and I'm still working on it.

I'd have to agree that FrogLube definitely works better than BreakFree.

I wouldn't say its the best pure solvent, but its definitely the best non-toxic one I've used with the addition of providing other properties not given through a pure solvent.

So I was browsing the net about Froglube and it got me wondering about a few things. It is is bio-degradable, isn't there a risk of it easily breaking down especially with heat?

I also read that it is a non-petroleum product that resists petroleum. Does that mean it will be hard to switch back to something petroleum based later?

Now as far as applying froglube, does the gun have to be hot when applied? Cause for instance I'm probably not gonna hit the range until days or weeks later but I want to clean the gun as soon as I bring it home. Am I supposed to heat up the gun slightly in the oven or something before applying it? Or can I apply it and then let it sit until I end up going to the range one day and having the lube soak in once I start shooting and the gun warms up?

Between a boresnake and an old toothbrush I can clean just about every firearm I own.

Note: If you will be using a strong ammonia type bore cleaner for removing copper fouling (Sweets, shooters choice, etc), you should not use brass jags, brushes, or rods. There is copper in brass and the cleaner will remove it and leave you with tin. Use plastic jags, aluminum rods, and stainless or plastic brushes.

I'm guessing from the Wilson 47D you've got a 1911.

If it has an internal extractor I've found a small circular bottle type brush is great for cleaning the channel. I got mine (an assortment) at Harbor Freight.
Pipe cleaners for the firing pin hole.

I've been using engine assembly lube for slides. It has graphite & moly in it. Seems to work well. Cheaper than "gun" greases.

Newbie question: So with a boresnake, if i use a CLP like Froglube, do i apply some Froglube on the boresnake and run it down the barrel to clean/lube the barrel?
