I admit I am over stating things a little bit. But only a little. The Beretta M9 really did turn me off to DA/SA handguns.

I've got your back on this one. I felt the same way about the M9 trigger, and years of using it in the military turned me off of DA/SA, too.

Yea i think i may just have to switch out the trigger spring. I've got a buddy who's an armorer and i'll have him take a look at it. And all i really shoot out of it are federal i think 163 grain? the federal 9mm you can find in any walmart.

163 grain 9mm? Wow...

Do you mean 115 grain?

Also - it's not the trigger spring you're going to swap - it's the mainspring.

Keep practicing with your Beretta, especially that DA trigger pull. Its possible to master and have it become second nature to you. Once you master the DA trigger pull you'll find that the Beretta is a VERY accurate gun. Don't let the haters bring you down. Carried the M9 in the service for 6 years including Afghanistan. The D spring eases things too, you can find em on sale online for only 3 bucks.

Wolff makes a 16 # spring that is equivalent to the 92D spring. That makes the DA pull a lot better. It is still no a SA feel, but as you point out, you have to commit to pulling the trigger (the first time) to fire the gun, which is the intent of DA/SA. It provides that last little bit of time/effort - just in case you change your mind. After that first shot, you're in the race and SA makes the subsequent shots easier and faster.

But that stock trigger pull on the 92/M9 does SUCK!
