Alright, I have a Glock 22 complete slide that has no frame to go along with it. I'm wondering if I can order the frame on Gunbroker, get it shipped to an FFL, then have the FFL put the slide/trigger/whatever else is needed to make it a complete gun on before transferring it to me? I'm hoping that there are no issues as the Glock is on the roster, and with the inclusion of the slide will be able to pass the drop test.

Ordering a frame from gunbroker.com

I would think it would have to go to an ffl 07 so they could add your slide and make it a "safe" rostered gun. I could be completely wrong though lol.Originally posted by barrageThat's because Excelsior threads are like toilet bowls. They're made for crapping in and occasionally pissing on the side of. -
Simple solution
Just call and order up a frame from Glockmeister.com
They will ship one to your ffl. You can assemble the weapon yourself.

Do these frames say "Glock" or "Glockmeister"?
I can understand building a Glock that is on the the list. But, I've never seen a "Glockmeister" on the roster before.Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

ATF says that that is a manufacturing process and that the FFL needs tobe an 07 to legally do that. Now, could an 01FFL do that a couple times and get away with it, probably.Just call and order up a frame from Glockmeister.com

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

I just went thru this. Bought a 3rd gen G17 frame from a guy in North Carolina. Shipped it to my FFL in Riverside. I had to supply a slide assembly so he could DROS it. somehting about it has to be a complete gun. However, this same thing does not apply to an AR lower....Comment

AR lower is an "other". Also, as stated earlier, 01 FFL's are not supposed to allow you/help you to "assemble the gun for DROS".I just went thru this. Correct...I bought a G22 frame only (via PPT) with no issues recently. Based on my research since, I think you can buy a frame only (as long as it is on the roster) as a PPT sale, but you can't buy a frame only from a dealer.I just went thru this. So in your case, no buying a rostered frame via Gunbroker and having it shipped to an FFL.
Stupid state....

PPT is roster exempt. You can buy a frame PPT, or intrafamilial transfer, whether it is on the roster or not.Correct...I bought a G22 frame only (via PPT) with no issues recently. From a dealer or non-intrafamilial transfer through an FFL, it must be a complete, rostered handgun. Stripped frames don't qualify.- Rich
