I would definitely keep it. Bar-Sto barrels are everywhere, but there's only one original barrel for your pistol. The small amount of monetary gain isn't worth the loss.

I also suggest you keep the factory barrel.

I've had experiences with other match barrels on a Sig failing to feed HP ammo correctly.

Match barrels are made to really tight tolerances to get that extra 1% of accuracy out of the gun. HD HP ammo is also made to the max tolerances (and sometimes beyond) to get that extra 1% of velocity out of the bullet.

Mix the two and you get jams.

In theory: CA knows you own x pistol with the factory x barrel. Then you sell it to some chucklehead that puts it into his P226. Then he goes out and shoots somebody with it. Then you get a knock on your door by some kind of Authorities asking where your gun is and where were you on the night of blah blah blah.....

Maybe it cant happen, but for $50 why would you bother risking it?

What the hell are you talking about? Take your TFH off, turn off the TV and come back to REALITY! No agency, public or private, in this country keeps any records on barrels. The whole ballistic fingerprinting thing is based on a lot more than just the barrel. In fact, a though cleaning of a barrel can and will change the markings a bit.

Just wondering is it ILLEGAL for me to sell my Factory Sig P226 9mm Barrel??? I bought a Bar-Sto barrel and have no use for the factory barrel my friend is telling me that I can't it's illegal to sell it true?

Tell your friend to STFU or qoute the exact law that regulates the sales of barrels anywhere in this country. If he wants to put his money where his mouth is, I'm in for $1000 or more.

i wouldn't sell the oem barrel if it has your serial on it just in case i ever want to sell it i would put it back

I think a factory gun is easier to sell than one that has been worked on. Most people see a competition barrel and think 10's of thousands of rounds. There goes the chance to say only one box down the pipe...
