        But the GLOCK and several other DAO handguns do have an external safety mechanism....it's called the "trigger finger". Keep finger off trigger until ready to shoot firearm.

        Some people have trouble understanding that point, hence the need for additional safety features and stickers on handguns sent into California and other states.

          I own a Glock 17 and I agree. That particular report however was about a 3 year old girl who unfortunately was too young and should have never had access to a chambered/loaded firearm to begin with. The report should have blamed an owner who didnt keep the loaded gun in a locked safe, not "Glock Pistols" for having a trigger safety. I keep mine unloaded in a locked safe, and I dont even HAVE kids.
