Don't do it. If you want a pot metal gun get a hi point.

If you want a novelty piece of garbage and are okay with paying $190 for a $50 gun, then go ahead.
If you want a decent pocket pistol, save up for a TCP, LCP or a Kel Tec.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

My father-in-law had one. Literally fell apart in his hand. Looking at the parts, the metal is unbelievably poor.

my lorcin 22 blew apart on me about 20 years ago. Not recommended if you like your hands. You can get a gun cheap, just don't rush it. Or, you can be smart and save up a little while and get a good gun from a modern manufacturer (ruger/glock/beretta/taurus/etc...) that'll last a lifetime and never blow up in your hand (well.. as long as you don't try to make that happen)

literally I just shot a buddy's Lorcin .380 two nights ago. It was the biggest POS I have ever encountered. Besides experiencing a ton of malfunctions, the magazine broke, stove piped a round rearward in the chamber, with another one in the hole that the primer had been struck, but the powder didnt fully burn (using quality federal ammo), and then knocked all the rounds in the mag vertical. It took me 20 minutes to get the broken mag out of the gun, and clear the stovepipe, and the round that FTF.

BTW this after experiencing the magic of trying to strip and lube a pistol that has more parts that can literally fall out of it than a cheap childs toy.

If the Chinese began making guns and selling them in the US for $15 dollars, this wouod be the gun.

In addition to making me re-evaluate all guns as suspect to being pieces of crap in the long run, I decided I would rather throw rocks or use a bow and arrow to defend myself than use a Lorcin .380.

$190 OTD for a gun that retailed for maybe 150, and is worth maybe 20. I have a Lorcin .22 and it would literally be more effective thrown at a person than to use it to shoot them. Basically if I had to play Russian roulette with any gun...I'd go Lorcin.

I use my .22 to shoot the Aguila quiet ammo and thats it.

Nah, my Norinco 213 is way nicer than any Lorcin.

Nothing like a finely engraved Lorcin as a quality collector's piece.

If it was $50, maybe, but not $190

Lorcins are one of those guns I am not sad to see go to gun buybacks, cause if a person can get $100 they got a good deal.

In all seriousness, I would rather buy a hi-point.
