God dam that's so much work. Is there any major problems with the gen 4s? And if you guys had a choice to go gen 4 or gen3 21sf what rout would you go? And why?

Gen 4 for two reasons: bigger mag release and double recoil spring

I heard the double recoil spring makes FTE.

Also had another question the back straps (what I wantthe most) does the m make it smaller than the sf or same size?

And on average how much does it cost for a gen4 out the door. All the steps make me hear $$ signes....

I know if you buy from valkyrie, rather than having it shipped to them for the SSE conversion, they'll do without an additional charge.

The Gen 4 G17 i just pick up has been G2G so far. I heard about the FTE problems but from my experience (700 rounds) and a gun being born in 2/11; i think they have fixed the problem.
As for what i would prefer. i was worried about getting one of the Gen 4's that had the FTE problem and was originally looking for the Gen 3's. The problem i had was trying to find a Gen 3 G17 in stock for less than $450. So i pick up the Gen 4 for less than $500 OTD.
From doing the research it seems that Glock has fixed that FTE problem

              Hope this helps you out

Is the smallest back strap slimed than the regular 17 or is it the same size? Thats 70% of why I want it to make the grip a tad slimmer. The 21sf I held was a good fit but a tad on the wide side

i really like the appearance and feel of 3rd gen glock, but in all fairness, ive never actually held a 4th gen

very old news. Only a few earlier GEn4s had issues and thanks to the internet... it spreads like wild fire. I have 3 Gen4 glocks.. no issues .. With no backstrap on, it is the same size as SF. The double recoil spring helps with the recoil.

Hmm... That recoil spring seems good. And why doesn't flock get their biggest complaint is the fat grip? I think their sales would almost double if they would get a slim grip model

I dont think they can make it any shorter or slimmer. The thing holds 13 rounds of 45acp. oh i forgot.. it is called GLOCK 37 chambers in 45 GAP

In addition, Gen 4 trigger pull is almost 1.5 pound heavier than Gen3.

Thanks for the info guys. I think I'm just going to stick with the gen3 21sf.

What's a good price the 21sf could be had for. Riflegesr has them for $550+ fees. From what I heard that's a tad high/normal
