Does the gun need to be functional? The Coonan (new ones & old B types anyway) don't use the 1911 swinging link, they use a BHP/CZ type - a 1911 type barrel won't fit, I think that is what the poster was referencing & that doing the above to a barrel with a CZ link would be needed.
