Colt sucks. The guy told me he hasn't seen a blued XSE or S70 reproduction in months. Rumor has it Colt is going broke, maybe they should build more guns and sell them?

they're not going broke, demand is so high that everything gets snatched up right when it leaves the factory

not to mention that they've made a lot of special models lately (100 Anniversary, WWI repro, ect) and that holds up the runs for the regular models

That price is good! I paid about 900ish for mine.

The SS XSE has been great, no feeding issues at all. Some rubbing on the dust cover, but nothing crazy, both sides of the well seem even though, I might have done it on take down.

I recently took it to U.S. Firearms to ask about some custom work to maybe have done to it, I put an 18lb spring into it, and shockingly the firing pin spring looked compressed and shot to hell after only 1000ish rounds. I am guessing it was a fluke, but annoying none the less.

I replaced the silly plastic MSH with one from Ed Brown, but the colors don't match perfectly, so now I need to find someone with a bead blaster.

Nice, I'm planning on giving it the Ed Brown treatment as well.
