After i purchased my sig pro, i haven't been shooting my p226 at all. The 2022 has a better trigger then my 226. and i just enjoy shooting it.

I had the same experience.. to the point where I sold the P226 I owned at the time and even a USP 40.

All kidding aside, +1 to the guy who said the sigpro is the best value out there at current pricing. I acquired an extra near-new mag for roughly $31 (shipped), and then four more brand new ones for $49 shipped (got lucky), which means I ended up spending $480 total for a Sig w/6 mags! Top that, FNP-9!

Edited to add: The FNP-9/FNP-40 w/three mags is going on sale tomorrow for Turner's "May Madness" at a price of $499.98. The sigpro w/one mag, of course, will be the standard (as of recent times) $399.98. You telling me you can't get two more sigpro mags for under $100 shipped? List price is $46/mag; Midway has them for $38/ea; TGS for $32/ea. Unless the FNP comes w/night sights--and I don't believe it does (not certain, though)--the sigpro is a better value. But of course, it all depends on what works for you. As I said in an earlier post, the sigpro is not for me.

Yea, it really came down to the fact that it was the primary my girlfriend used and she had trouble actuating the double-trigger. She shot it like a champ in single.. but both of us believed she needed a gun that she could learn all nuances of the trigger.

I can see why she would find the DA pull challenging. I've been working on it and it takes some getting used to. Also, at least with the short trigger, after two mags my finger really hurts.

So been doing some research on the other options and it seems like value wise it would be the best one for me. The mention of holsters for it, specifically I would be looking for a waistband concealment holster, anyone know of a good website to look at the holster options?

Good choice on the Sig Pro 2022, however, good luck sourcing extra mags if you are buying in 9mm. .40 is plentiful. I was lucky to get 2 new Sig Pro 9mm mags from a fellow CalGunner. Enjoy the new addition.

I love the SP2022. Mine is made here in America and the only complaint i have is 10rd mags are expensive and hard to find. I dont think it feels cheap at all, the trigger is really good, and it shoots accurately. I dont think you can find a better pistol brand new in the box for $400.

Okay, let me make sure I have this clear... you said "girlfriend" and not "wife", right? I don't want to jinx anyone, but I hope you two stick together... it would be a shame to have lost your sigpro if it doesn't work out!

Most guys I know would say, "I'd sell my wife before my sigpro." [Never in the presence of their wives, of course!]
