Is there a good .380?

I have an old PPK/S and I tried to buy an LCP on Davidsons I wanted something lighter. I guess the LCP don't make the CA list. What do you guys like that is available in CA?

The Kahr P380 is an excellent small pistol, polymer frame and walther barrel. I just finished detailing, smoothing up and extractor mods on two of them for a client in Oregon. They both fed over 200 assorted rounds flawlessly. Not bad accuracy wise either. These weren't California models. The only diff. Cal. models have loaded indicators on top of slide and won't fire with mag. out of pistol ( which can be changed ) They are priced kind of high 600 to 700 bucks, but quality made.

Dr. what needs to be done to remove that pesky mag disconnect?

Also, how much do your services cost to really put the finishing touches on the p380?

Best overall, if you can find one, IMO is the Colt 1908 pocket hammerless.

Where do you live? There are a lot of shops selling Ruger LCP's using the single-shot exemption. Sacramento Black Rifle has the Diamondback 380 as a single-shot exempt pistol as well.

Just sold my lcp, it was a great gun especially with crimson trace laser guard.loved it...but it was only fun for about 30 rounds on the range...would make a great ccw, but I live in San Mateo county....anyway, as much as I loved it pulling the trigger on the Kahr p380 is like a spa vacation compared to the Ruger...don't get me wrong I loved my lcp....but I feel like it has only forbidden fruit appeal in CA, there are better guns out there that fit the bill and are on the roster.

I like the Beretta 84 series as well but it is on the larger scale compared to the Kahr or the LCP.
