So basically you can take a G21 and convert it into a 10mm. Does it have to be the G21SF (what is the SF model?)? Do you need to change the mags?

You can convert any G21 to 10mm with a barrel, extractor and mags.

I happened to do this to a 21SF to show it could be done. Yes, you need the G20 mags.

Pretty cool. Are there any reliability issues involved with the conversion?

So you have to notch out some G20 mags?

                M4inCA,

That conversion would probably be last indefinitely with regular factory 10mm loading but you may have some durability issues with full power 10mm loads (240+PF). The reason I say that is the M21 slide has lightening cuts in the slide that the M20 slide does not. The M20 slide has greater mass which slows the acceleration of the slide and would be more durable. But for occassional use of full power loads or indefinite use of regular 10mm factory loads, your conversion should work very well. Enjoy!

Only if you have the G21SF with the ambi-mag release.

If you get the G21SF with the standard mag release, then you don't have to mod any G20 mags.

M4 very well done, that nice information to know. It might make a Glock worth buying.

I'd like to know too....I'd seriously considered this as I know where to get a hold of a 21SF ambi, but it looked like it would be too much $$$ in the long run....how reliable is the conversion. It looked like there would be bigger issues doing the conversion than just barrel and extractor, but I could be wrong.

Please give us some feedback on how well it works...

                      Thx!

Another way to do this is to buy both a G21SF and a G20. Take the entire slide assemblies, switch them, and then sell the "G21" via PPT. Simple as pie. And if you notice, all the new G20 mags have a notch in them, so it would work with both ambi and non-ambi versions.

Another way to go is buy a complete LWD G20 slide assembly and attach it to the G21SF.

I tell you honestly, I dont seen any "cuts" in the slide lightening it. However, I don't have a G20 to compare it to.
