    That may have been more a training and ammo issue then the pistol. My Maks are very good at 25 yards or less. Shoot Hornady Custom 9x18 Makarov 95gr XTP/JHP, S&B, Wolf and Chicom surplus...

    Then again I do not have a Russian Mak, mine are Bulgarians and East German pistols.

      I have several Makarovs of various flavors. They all shoot pretty much the same, which is suprisingly accurate.
