Stainless Makarov

I was born and spent the first 16 years of my life in Ukraine, so I saw every cop in town with one of those PM's (Pistolet Makarova) in a big ugly hip holster (later on they started carrying AKSU shorties too). What everyone (including cops) said about the Makarovs was that the only thing you could shoot without missing was your own head. To me this gun has the coolness factor of 0, no matter how rare the stainless version may be on this side of the Atlantic.

That may have been more a training and ammo issue then the pistol. My Maks are very good at 25 yards or less. Shoot Hornady Custom 9x18 Makarov 95gr XTP/JHP, S&B, Wolf and Chicom surplus...

Then again I do not have a Russian Mak, mine are Bulgarians and East German pistols.

I have several Makarovs of various flavors. They all shoot pretty much the same, which is suprisingly accurate.
