    RIA 1911 9mm

Does anyone know why RIA can't get this DOJ approved? It's 8 shot like the 45 and 38 super? Is there any difference other then Caliber? Has anyone ever had luck in lobbying a company to get their gun on and approved? Considering the lack of 9mm 1911 full sized pistiols out there new in the market I'd imagine they'd sell ok?

Just buy a 38 Super and convert it to 9mm. All it takes is a barrel swap you can get from Sarco. You may have to do some filing. I had to in order for it to fit, but its 1 minute worth of work. Even the 38 Super mags work, though the occational FTF will happen.

Yeah I know, but it's an extra 60 bucks, and I'm sure it'd be all right, but I haven't seen the 38 super in tactical except for nickel....

A calgunner already has one of these. I think it was from Valkyrie . Do a search and you will see his range report.

Something like $600 with the Single shot exemption. I'd go for one too if I had the $$.

Yeah, Tracy Rifle and Pistol or Valkyrie Arms. I LOVE my RIA 9mm.

                Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.
