bedside gun safe

Looking for the most secure, and reliable bedside gunsafe. I was looking at a gunvault bio and non but it would seem many people find them not reliable, and insecure?

Need the ability to store a couple guns, several mags, etc.

I have a Fort Knox table top safe that uses a push button combo to open. No electronics. Not sure if they make these anymore. Its big but more than two med sized guns would be a bit tight. Closest thing to the Fort Knox I can think of would be a V-Line. Lots of people like the electronic GunVault but lots of others have had problems. I like mechanical locks myself.
All of these small pistol lock boxes are really only good for keeping kids out. If I'm going to be out of the house for more than 24 hours my HD gun goes into the Sturdy Safe.

+1 on the Ft Knox.They are still available for sale. It's the heaviest of the quick open safes and is priced in the same ballpark as the vline models.

I use the Armloc II by Franzen. The most versatile gun safe/case I have run across yet. Rock-solid too. It's great for the home, the car, travel (FAA approved), the range - whatever. It's big enough for 2 handguns plus mags. For less quick access & more room, I also have a Stack-On safe in the house.

The Armloc II comes with 2 mounting brackets - one for your bedframe, and one for wallmount. It attaches to the bracket with 2 thumbscrews from inside the safe.

It's got a combination lock (which I rarely use) plus a cylinder key lock. At bedtime, I leave the key lock open & the combo "open" as well. For quick access, just tap the front - the side drops open flat & you're ready to rock.

I've got this safe under my bed, it works exactly as intended. I've got a pair of SIGs as well as (2) spare mags

I have a few of the biometric Gun Vault finger print safes. They've opened consistently and within seconds the majority of the time. I have two young children in the house and couldn't take the risk of a combination or key lock.

This, exactly. I have two young children and a couple biovaults that work consistently. I also have one in my desk drawer at the office. I don't have a single concern that opening my biovault will take any longer than a combo or keyed lock, if it's taking a long time it's taking as long as a combo lock that's been safely (more than one digit off the combo) locked.

The gunvaults really are nice. I registered my index finger several times and at varying angles. After doing this my safes each open on the first attempt most of the time. Only time it hasn't opened was due to me moving my finger while it was attempting to read my print. After many attempts at practicing I've got it down perfectly.

These things store discreetly beneath your bed or in a closet. The textile markings make it easy to line up my hand in the dark. They also come with a battery backup in case of power loss. This safe opens successfully in like 2-3 seconds.
