    His and hers 9mm

So I finally got a chance to shoot my new Beretta 92FS M9A1 at the range with my wife's new Sig SP2022. I did have to drag her since she was feeling lazy but it was an awesome feeling shooting my own after shooting rentals for the longest time. Grouping is fairly bad after the both of us went through 199 rounds (my 100 rd Winchester box was short 1 ). The results were from the last 30 rounds each at about 5 or 6 yards. My grouping was between the 8 and bullseye circles with some random shots all over. My wife's was center but below the bullseye. Hoping to see some more range time soon to get better with our guns. Sorry about the blackberry pics but I figure it's better than nothing.

    Hopefully the pics work...

How do you like the M9A1? From the pic you posted it looks more gray or gunmetal then a black color. I was like, WTH I WANT THAT!!! LOL But in anycase, I am hoping next month to get a M9A1, how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

LOL. I got the exact same pistol for my wife. Since she had a nine I decided I needed one for myself. Darned if I was gonna set up to reload a new caliber & not get to shoot any of it!

HEY! How 'bout a "His & Hers" handgun thread?

Her SIG 2022. She loves it by the way. I've always said the nine is a great ladies' round..

I think you got the better handgun . Now, if she had got a sig p226 it be a different story all together. lol

Nice idea. I am going to use this one.

lol, its defintely black. the frame is like a matte black which is a nice contrast with the barrel. so far i'm loving it. the regular 92fs was recommended to me by an ex army guy that i worked with so i went from that to trying differnt things and wanting different guns like the HK and s&w, but ended up going back to the beretta.

i got mine at turners on "sale" for 650 plus all fees so about 740 otd, which i understand i could have gotten cheaper but didnt really know where to look.

LOL.... yea my wife is still working on the 9mm. its a bit much for her and she can't even squeeze the trigger in DA. she wanted the beretta 84fs but was convinced into working on the 9mm, and the 84fs was fairly hard to rack because of the smaller size. i personally wanted her to go with 9mm so we wouldnt have so many different calibers when we first start.

she actually wanted the 226btfo, but after shooting at the range, she was mroe comfy with the 2022.

I'm wondering how you got the powderburns off of your white target...

+1 on the His/Her shooting. My wife spontaneously decided she wanted to start shooting competition with me a few years back, and really enjoys it. I like being able to be out there competing, but getting to hang out with her when it isn't our turn to shoot.

She even won a 5-day course certificate with Blackwater at a major match. I was thinking, "I'm going to Blackwater!" until she set me straight. She flew out to Moyock and fired more than 2200 rounds in five days in one of their tactical handgun classes. I was seriously envious.

No pics at the moment, but mine is an XD9 Tactical and hers is a Glock 34.
My friends and family disavow all knowledge of my existence, let alone my opinions.
