XD45 - can't load unless slide locked back?

XD45 owners, can you try this and see if it works?

I'm not able to insert a loaded mag unless the slide is locked back. Is this how yours is or is something wrong with mine? It's been 100% otherwise so I don't want to 'fix' what isn't broken. Just seems odd. Maybe I'm not pressing with enough force?

    Smack it in there.

For some reason the 10 rounders are harder to get in. Just give it a good smack, you wont hurt it.

New mag? They loosen up. Slam it in. You can also try downloading it one round. But that kinda defeats the purpose.

And just for future reference yes it's a bit hard to eject a loaded magazine your going to have to push uP on the magazine.

I only load 9, 10 needs a LULA or bust your fingers.

They manufacture the 10-rounders pretty tight so there's no possible way you could jam an extra round in there. (Just think of the horrible acts of violence that would occur with ELEVEN round magazines....GASP!!!)
Like everyone else said, use a little muscle.

The mags are designed to be very tight with 10 rounds, to make sure you can't "accidentally" fit 11 rounds in there.
Its tight, put a little muscle in it.

Must be girly hands. Mine load up just fine.

I don't know why people are loading up only 9 rounds. Load 10 rounds, give it a smack. That goes for all of my pistols with 10 round mags. You don't have to try to hit it out of the park, but just pushing it in is not going to work. You have to exert a little bit of force to get it in.
