I just don't get it. I think it's just one of those things around here.

      Oh and congrats !
It came down to cost - $750 at Turners and fit and finish as well highly recommended by a friend who has 5 Kimbers with no issues. Bottom line was it was the best fitting gun when held it my hand.

So is purchased a few different mags -Wilson Combat, CMC, KimPro Tac and of course the stock Kimber Mag. I shot mostly Ammo Bros 230GR Brass Reloads and Blazer Brass (40 rds). Round count was approximately 120. I did some controlled pairs and mind you this was first time shooting a 1911. I am happy to say not one single malfunction! Real happy with my choice!
Congrats on the Kimber Custom II. Your experience reflects mine. I've used nothing but cheap mags (Shooting Stars and Kimbers cheapest), used nothing but cheaply bought generic ammo since I am cheap, and after firing so many rounds, I have not had one malfunction-----honest, not one!

My new Custom II choked on the second round. It has not done it since after 1200 rounds.

The kydex holster doesnt scratch up your 1911??? Thinking about getting a holster for mine but leaning toward leather.

No scratches at all. If it did it would not be used in so many current models.

I love my TLE ll..although I wish I had gotten the regular custom ll as the TLE front checkering is a bit much for target shooting...
Someone needs to stop washing dishes and go out and do some yardwork!

(You would love the checkering on a Springfield Pro.)

Thats easy to fix, just put some wrap around grips on it.

The reason why you hear alot about Kimbers and FTF, FTE posts is because Kimber used to use external extractors and it caused alot of issues. They eventually changed to standard internal and it fixed the problems.

I feel that once a brand has a problem, people cant get past it even though they fixed the issue and will ow forever link kimbers to a problem they once had.

My kimber Custom II runs flawless with both stock mags and the kimpro tacs.
