I've been hit multiple times at one range with jackets and debris. Once with pants on so it left no mark. Other time it was summer so I had shorts and bam, right in the shin. Broke the skin but not really any blood. Jagged little sucker laying next to my foot now I won't shoot there if I can't get at least 3 lanes in between my and others. Not fun.Comment

I was once at a range where a guy was toying with his beretta bobcat (.25 cal). It jammed. And as he cleared it (with his trigger finger still inside the trigger guard), he shot the wall to his left. The bullet lodged into the plywood, fortunately. I called it and told the range master. But he didn't do a thing. Needless to say, I never went back to that range again until management changed (over 10 yrs later).Comment

ALWAYS TRUST YOUR GUT!! Even if someone's saying that you're overreacting.....trust your gut.So I was at my local range the other day, and a guy in the lane next to me had his target no more than 3 feet away from him, shooting a .32 (he said).
The paper target is held up with a metal clamp, and I was concerned about a ricochet. He was all over the place on his target (using a laser no less). I moved lanes to be farther away from him, but thinking I should have said something...
I asked him what he was doing, why so close and he said he was trying out his laser .. anyway I did NOT feel comfortable being next to this guy the target felt like it was right in my face...
being paranoid or good choice moving lanes?
Here's the thing...next time you're at an indoor range, look up. Bullet holes in the ceiling? Paranoid? I think not. There's a huge number of people there that have no idea what they're doing so your safety is your responsibility.R.I.P. Chris Kyle. 2/2/13Comment

it was crazy, seriously it was practically in my face and he was firing! ...
It was Barnwood in Ripon... I go there often, less than 5 minutes from home
