Last week, I went to the range with a friend. Lots of pistols - Glocks, Sigs, S&W. And one other. An M1911A1, issued in 1926 and carried in combat by one of the gentlemen at the range. It blew the rest of the pistols out of the water in both accuracy and recoil.

Glad you liked it. They're just tools at the end of the day. Just get a SIG 1911! Probably won't be as "cool" as the old school issued one you fired though.

The same thing happened to me. I love my Sig but once I shot a 1911 there was no going back.

My sympathies to you and your Sigs. The same happened to me. I used to be a Sig fanatic until I met a semi-custom 1911. Although my Sigs are still dear to me, they feel a little neglected while my 1911 sees most of the action.

Only issue is (if you don't do your own reloads) is cost of ammo. A lot more expensive than 9mm or 40S&W.
