    Glock slide shine

Hello, After putting 150 rounds through my Glock I notice the outside of the slide is not as black as it was when new. What do you guys use to keep it shining?

    I like meguiars wax.

I think the shine is just from the oil on the slide, once it dries off, it'll be more matte/dull.

Johnson's Paste Wax works great on guns. I wouldn't use car wax though, because of the polishing abrasives it contains.

I've never used any sort of wax on my Glocks. Just oil, and that's even rare.

The 19 on the bottom just had 600 rounds put through it yesterday and it hasn't been cleaned and won't for at least another 2k rounds. I like my Glocks dirty

Also, the new Glocks don't have the same shiny finish they use to. They are much more dull. The one on the bottom has the new dull finish, the one on top has the old shiny one.

After I clean my Glocks I usually spray some oil on the outside of the slide and wipe it down as part of the cleaning routine. I think that helps the shine too.
