Gen 4 FTW! G19 is sweet as can be, I like it a lot better than the Gen 3 except for the 5.5# trigger. It is not too bad once you get the reset down just right. I also do not want to mod it as it is my night stand piece and last thing I need is for it to not work when I really need it.

What do you guys think of the chunkier cubid-style RTF? It seems like it would be less tacky, but also harder to wear down.

A good example is the Fish and Wildlife inspectors. They're with law enforcement agency, and they're sworn federal officers. However, they are not authorized to carry a firearm in their duty. Can they buy off-listed handguns?

I'm not sure exactly what you are getting at? Are you talking about the officers like you would find at a state or national park? I'm just asking because my neighbor is a warden for fish & game and he does indeed carry a firearm, as well as being equipped with a shotgun. Carries a Gen 4 Glock in fact

I believe this includes all full time correctional officers of the State. They are actually sworn in peace officers. correct me if i'm wrong

I was talking about sworn officers who work in law enforcement agencies, however, they are not issued/carry guns because their jobs are not as dangerous (such as the inspectors for Fish and Wildlife under Department of Interior; not State Fish & Game).

At this point I will never buy a glock again. Not cus they suck or because they are not reliable, but because of the grip. That thing didn't fit my hand at all. I'll have to try the g19 gen4 with the small back strap, if it feels good I might consider buying a glock again.

This is incorrect. FBI Special Agents are not recognized as peace officers in the State of California. Moreover, their credentials do not say "peace officer" anywhere on them.

But they are roster exempt.

Effective immediately, peace officers who have legislative authority to carry and use firearms may, without a letter signed by the head of their agency or the agency head's designee, purchase non-rostered handguns and/or large capacity magazines. The peace officer must present a valid peace officer identification card and the dealer must retain a copy of the identification card on file. (PC 12132 & 12133). A letter is still required from the head of the agency to exempt the peace officer from the ten day waiting period. (PC 12078).

I believe FBI agents falls under "any police department", since they are sworn members of a Federal law enforcement agency. [PC 12125(b)(4)]

Nor shall anything in this section prohibit the sale to, or purchase by, sworn members of these agencies of any pistol, revolver, or other firearm capable of being concealed upon the person.
