The P239 is also heavier than my Glock.

I traded my P239 for a Glock26 as my primary CCW gun. Glock is smaller and lighter and holds more rounds. Glock also doesn't have a hammer to snag on clothing like the 239.

SR9c is one quality firearm and is very slim in design. It is very easy co CCW but also gives you options like 17rd magazine. OOPS, forgot we live in California.

Wheel guns are great and shoot 99.9999999999999% of the time. Pop carried one for years...

Im partial to autos - Glock 27 (cuz im a .40 guy...) is my fav.
I also like compact 1911s - like a Para LDA.

                Glock/1911 Sacrilege I know... =D

Because in the real world, in my opinion, strapping one on, having to dress around it, and having to worry about exposing the gun during normal movement is a pain. Pocket carrying a J frame in anything but spandex is a walk in the park. I haven't found anything else that works as well, including the Kahr pm9, which prints much more in my pocket. Undergunned, maybe, ungunned, no.

                    I'm thin, 5' 11" 160lbs

Springfield EMP IWB, one size larger pants, good belt

That little 1911 style flat 3" pistol is about as good as it gets for me

Not trying to be critical or rude, But, You could use just about any gun for the details provided, all you are going to get on the boards here are everyone personal favorites.

I like XDs more than Glocks, But Glocks are Awesome guns, and that might be the best choice for you, I have no idea...

Personally I think Kahrs are overpriced. If you like them pay attention to whether or not you are getting a Pm9 or a Cm9. If I remember correctly, the CM is Forged then milled slide the PM is Milled from solid material. Just know what you are buying. I have no idea if one is better than the other, just that they are about $200-300 difference in price.

Kimber/1911 platform is an awesome gun in my book. But, your looking at carrying more than 1K$ gun. If LE find a reason to take it from you someday you might be out a gun you really didn't want to lose. I don't carry my 1911's for this very reason. Also some metal guns are heavy, I would suggest a polymer gun so that you will be more likely to carry more often.

I carry a Kel-tec PF9 cause it's 9mm and it's small like the Kahr, and it cost me less the 300$. I don't like to shoot it all that much. It whips like a "B" But it's the best tool for my preferences.

If you want really good suggestions, start with some of the following info:
                      what Caliber do you want?
                      Revolver or Semi-auto?
Where(on your person) do you want to carry?
What action are you interested in, Striker, DA/SA, SA only
                      Are external safeties important?
                      Price range?
                      what is your shooting experience?

If you don't know the answer to a particular question, ask that one here first, maybe you can get help with that first.

GL, Thank you for getting a CCW.
