    Looking For Cheap Sub-Compact

Hey guys, I need some insight, I'm looking for a really cheap semi-auto or revolver to CCW with. My budget for this is $300 and under.
    Thanks.

Bersa Thunder? They get great reviews; I don't have one but plan to. They're right around $300 new, usually. Or a J-frame? I've seen them in the Sac area new for $399. Checking the used market, here or elsewhere, might be the way to go.

If the weenies in Sacramento haven't banned it for sale in California - look for a Polish P-64 9X18 Makarov.

I have a Bersa Thunder that I like, works well. There's a shop in Tracy selling single shot Ruger LCP's (off-roster subcompact) in that price range (if you are willing to make the drive).

Bersa or a used revolver, maybe a Charter Arms or such, I'm leery of Taurus revolvers , due to Cylinders locking up. (U can search it) maybe try to add another $75 or so and you can probably find a used S&W J frame, but for under $300, your pretty limited, but there are some good guns out there for that.

The current Turner's weekly sale ad has four options in your price range:

                  pistols: High Point, Bersa, S&W
                  revo: Rossi

If your close enough, check them out.

I wouldn't go cheap with a CCW weapon my friend. A bersa is a very affordable and reliable semi automatic and a small smith revolver like a 642 or 300 series will do you fine. I wouldn't mess with the hi point series for anything other than a range gun.

Bersa Thunder 380 is a Walther PPK clone, and a well built one.
                      Very happy with my one.

For you guys saying hi point is junk, have you shot them after a break in period of 400-500 rounds? Serious question.

                        WTB used AK MFER.

I cringe and start to hyperventilate every time i read a statement like this. Cheap and self defense do not belong in the same sentence.

$299 @ Turner's right now (until the 10th). Good deal in my opinion.
