One of my shooting buddies has a Warthog and I've shot it several times---personally, I prefer something a little larger for a shooting pistol---something more like a Commander size (4-4 1/4" barrel)---the Warthog is just too small in the grip area for me and kinda thick and heavy, but it did shoot well---I've settled on a Springfield Armory Champion Loaded (4") .45 stainless and I am very satisfied. Good luck with your choice.

I have one. I like it, no feeding problems, pretty accurate. They say it's a 3 inch barrel, but that includes the chamber I think, so it's really more like 1.5 inches of rifling. I put the Pearce grip extensions on two of my mags, and they make the gun much easier to shoot, but they make the gun stand out a lot more while CCW'ing. That why I only put the grip extensions on two of the three magazines I have. I also put a Dawson Precision fiber optic front sight on it, which helps a lot. Overall it's a really good gun."I don't know Karate, but I know crazy" - James BrownComment

I have one and LOVE this gun! I actually ended up selling my M&P 40c with a trigger job for this gun because it was just so much more solid in my hands and I shoot it far better than I did the M&P.
It has been extremely reliable, no FTF's or FTE's whatsoever, since I put the Hogue grip on it is literally minimal recoil (other people who have shot it think it's a 9 or 40), and is very accurate.
I kept reading horror stories about magazine issues, so to be sure I ordered a few magazines a couple weeks ago and headed to the range- absolutely no problems feeding whatsoever. I would highly suggest getting the Pearce grips that smguser mentioned (although this may slightly impact CC options), and the Hogue grips.
The only downsides I've been able to find so far with this gun is that it isn't as easy to dissemble/reassemble as the M&P, and the finish on it scratches very easily.

Not to put you on the spot, but why would a person with the name "dr communist" want to own a firearm in the first place? I mean what would a silly peasant want to do with a firearm? Again just saying due to the fact that your title "dr communist" is going pretty much against your mojo.Comment
