    single stack 9mm options?

Just wondering if you guys can suggest some good options for guns in 9mm that are singlestacked. Do they still manufacture 9mm 1911s or are there other options?

    Some previous threads here:

Springfield and Kimber both have full size versions of 1911 9mm. SA also has the EMP which is a pretty cool sub compact 1911 9mm. Not many choices...but they all seem like good ones

Sig P239, P225, P220(if you can find one in 9mm).

Off the top of my head: HK P7M8, Walther P-38/P-1, Kahr P9, Springer 9mm, Sig 225, Sig 210. Oh, and Maks (9x18).

Also the Beretta 92 type M is a single stack. Been out of production for a couple of years.

Turners has 2 single-stack 9mm going on sale this Thursday. P225 at $379 and the Walther P-1 at $249. I like both although the P-1 has a tendency to bounce the ejected casings off of people's foreheads.

This is my vote. These guns are awesome, and they are still on the DOJ approved list. They are kinda hard to find but well worth it......

Not a single stack, but the overall grip on BHPs are very slim, comfortable, and point very naturally for a lot of people.

S&W PC952 - very good albeit expensive option.

May we ask what is the significance of a single stack magazine?

Slimmer grips and according to some more reliable feeding..I have a P-38 and a Sig 239 , recommend both.

Finding a factory 1911 in 9mm single stack is kinda tough and kinda expensive. Both Kimber and Springfield catalogued a target model. Both were getting close to the $900 range.

You could also buy a .38 Super and a 9mm luger barrel. You might need to buy a 9mm magazine.

I have a Springfield .38 Super slide fitted with a Para 9mm luger barrel on a Para gunsmith kit frame. The .38 Super magazines work most of the time, but sometimes a round will hang up and won't feed.

I saw a Rock Island Armory .38 Super at a pawnshop the other day. I think they were asking $430 for it. All you would need is a new barrel in 9mm, but be careful because some of the RIA guns have a supported barrel and some do not.
