I almost bought a used fullsize TLE from a pawn shop awhile back. It was in great condition and they wanted I think $550 for it. Of course that was in Oregon, and gun prices generally seem to be somewhat inflated in CA. Other than that, I don't know.. haven't really shopped around for one.

I have not been a big Kimber fan but recently bought a Custom II used for a very good price. It is pretty well used but still very tight but smooth. Fit and finish are good but more importantly, it has shot very well. It shoots a bit high from point of aim and I had one FTE but that was it.
I was able to shoot within inches of a steel target from 100 yards, offhand, with LAX reloads, without too much aiming. I was just screwing around while my buddies were shooting rifles. I was surprised at how close I got to the target from that distance. I wasn't trying too hard so I think the gun had something to do with it.
Here it is wearing MARPAT digital camo Alumagrips.

There're quite a few Kimber haters out there. I was concern reading negative comments/remarks about Kimber but went ahead picked up a K-PC II. The only problem was the cheap magazine from the manufacture; once replaced (after the first 7 rounds), it has been trouble free for the next 800 rounds so far... Oh, by the way, she's not that picky, she chews and spits any type of ammo, manufacture or reload!Chambers-Colt-Glock-DW-EB-NHC-S&Ruger-WC-LB-KMI-SA

I have a regular custom II (not sure the difference between the TLE) But so far it has ran flawless even with the factory mag that most ppl talk down on. I've only shot Winchester white box and pmc ammo out of it.Last edited by xxINKxx; 02-26-2011, 7:57 PM."If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so." - Thomas JeffersonComment

I read the same specs on Kimber's site. I think the TLE adds a checkered front strap and there is a railed TLE but other than that, they seem the same.

^^ I think the difference the TLE 2 has over the Custom 2 is the front strap checkering and dotted sightsComment
