I favor Meprolights over Trijicons, have both and on various Glocks. Yes the vials on the Meps are bigger and brighter which I like. I have tried a combination of colors on Meps, green front with yellow rears, and personally I did not like them. All green for me.

My first night sights ever were on my first gun ever a Glock 21. They are Meps and still running bright nine years later. Got all of mine installed for free when purchased and shipped to Glockmeister.com

I always wanted to try the XS 24/7 Big Dots an I just ordered some from MidwayUsa.com last night. I think they would be great on a compact or subcompact for CCW. The are on sale for $89.99 untile 2/28 tomorrow. Just FYI for anyone looking for a decent deal on them.

Yea meps are darn good I tend to agree. The trijicons are made domestically, which I like and they are very "fine" and precise sights. I have heard that they are slightly and I mean slightly...less than mepro's. Its a win with either brand. I'm probally gonna get a set of those heine slants with tritum for my xd. It'll be a range gun anyways.

Hey guys...noobie question here...I picked up some mepro night sights and also a TLR-2...then I started thinking...do I really need a light and night sights for HD? Since I have two glocks I could just add the sights to one of them and then swap the light back and forth if need be. What's your guys opinion on it?

A weapon mounted light is not going to let you see your sights in a low light/ no light situation. Also, there are many times where you may not want to turn on your weapon light or not need to, but there's not enough light to see your sights.

Having a weapon mounted light and night sights is the ideal setup for HD. At the very least you probably want night sights on all of your weapons that you may use for HD. I've really been slacking myself in this area, no night sights. I do however have a Pelican 7060 I keep next to my HD gun and I have trained with it.

OP, I highly recommend you either keep the stock Glock sights (which are great combat sights) or go Trijicon.

Glock night sights vs. XS Big Dots

I run 10-8 sights with a gold bead installed in the front and mirror polished. They rock!

I have trijicons on my G26 for HD. Sevigny Competition Sight set for my G34. Love those Sevigny sights.
