Im about to get another Glock. its gonna be a G21SF. and im lookng around for night sights. primary role for this gun is for HD and range. what should I get? should I get some factory night sights or something more fancy? My G30sf has the factory sights and I shoot it just fine. does anyone have a set of truglo fiber-optic/night sight set up on theirs? are they any good? besides factory sights the truglo's would be my next pic.

✟ In the beginning was the 1911, and the 1911 was THE pistol, and it was good. And behold the Lord said, "Thou shalt not muck with my disciple John's design for it is good and it workith. For John made the 1911, and lo all of his weapons, from the designs which I, the Lord, gave him upon the mountain."✟Tags: None -
Yes, I have the TruGlo sights on mine and can't believe how nice they are. At night they are pretty much the same as my Trigicon, but even in the day they are bright due to the fiber optic.
I highly recomend them. -
YAH 2000 posts.
The sights, I would prefer are the TruGlo TG131GT2Y. I have them on mine, love them.

Warren/Sevigny sights.
For competition I choose to use plain black front/rear (front serrated). I have the fiber optic front also and do not like it very much.
Since you say you want it for HD use, look at the Tritium option that Warren/Sevigny offers.
Order from Chris Patty at www.cpwsa.com, since he ships fast, and supports the shooting sports nationwide. I just ordered another set from him this week. (Ordered two sets so far).
Here is a link:
I hate typical 3 dot set ups personally. They have both the typical horizontal 3 dot system and the 2 dot vertical dot on dot system, in addition to plain black and fiber optic.
On my G17 I like to shoot point of aim/point of impact just as you would with the standard sights, so I use the .245" height front, as opposed to the .215" which is cool if you prefer a 6 'o clock hold.
Hope that helps.Last edited by JaeOne3345; 02-24-2011, 12:23 PM.Comment

+1 on the Warren Tactical although I favor the regular sights over the Sevigny."When you get the (men) to the range, you just get the men. But when you bring the (women) to the range, you get the (whole family). And that's what's going to save our 2nd Amendment."--Dianna Liedorff

+1 I loved my Warren/Sevigny carry sights after trying a half dozen combos for glocks. My opinions are my own and do not represent the position of other companies I may be involved with.Comment

One thing you gotta figure with the Warren Sights is that it slightly extends the factory sight radius. To me that is a big plus. I do like the idea of a thinner front sight blade but you could pair a thin front sight blade of appropriate height to work with the Warrens.
As for night sights, I only have tritium in the front because low light distances with a handgun really only need you to point the front sight towards you're target (provided your body is indexed and aligned properly). If you're caught in a situation in low light where you need more precision than that, it might not be a good idea to take that shot."When you get the (men) to the range, you just get the men. But when you bring the (women) to the range, you get the (whole family). And that's what's going to save our 2nd Amendment."--Dianna Liedorff
