You don't say what kind of .38 Super you have. But, if it's a 1911 of some type you can convert it to 7.62X25 and buy ammo over the internet for as little as $80.01 per every 1260 rounds bought. That's $3.18 per 50 rounds.

If you don't want to convert it they also have .38 Super for as little as $18.50 per 50
            Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

There is a problem with that. I saw posts on those conversions on another forum. The surplus ammo is too long for 38 super mags. In order for the surplus ammo to fit the mag properly the bullets need to be seated deeper with a press and a die or just shoot reloads that have a shorter over all length. Now on seating the bullet deeper on the surplus ammo will it cause higher pressures, probably. Is it dangerous I don't know. Mark

I have a Commander .38 Super. I bought a 9mm barrel from MidwayUSA for about $50 -- now I can shoot 9mm for plinking and practice and use .38 Super for carry.

You can't find the ammo at WalMart, but it is out there; shop online.

.38 super is a competition round

Most of the shooters reload it.

.38super would fly off the shelves if priced well at Walmarts along the border.
