You meet some of the best people at the Range...!

Went to the range today with a friend, let him shoot the Kimber Warrior and just to give him some tips. Saw a guy next to me shooting a 1911. Asked what it was and it so happen to be a Les Baer. Beautiful gun!!! Like nothing he asked if i wanted to shoot it. he didnt know me, didnt know if i was a piece of ****! Nothing. I happily declined. My buddy saw his AR and was asking what it was and again he offered! my buddy couldnt resist. Another man on the other side was shooting a Wilson 1911 and he was the same way, asking if i wanted to shoot it!!!

That's the kind of people that make this hobby/sport so much fun!!!!

Its funny how you can meet complete strangers (at the range) and already feel totally comfortable around them. Talking to them is so easy. Just thought it was good to share.
    Thank you!!!

I agree, but then you will have the dip wads on here that complain about nosey people at the range too. I feel at home at the range. People are typically like minded with the same interests. Each of us have our own unique weapons we bring and it is always cool to check out other peoples arsenals. Few months back someone let my 11 yr old son try out their AR which was very nice of them. I always ask if people want try out my stuff too... Usually they say no, then I let them know it is really ok if they want to shoot it... Then they take me up on it.

For the most part everyone I have come across has been great.

There are many times I run out of ammo...and I never fire a shot

I let total strangers shoot my Les Baer and SA Pro if they asked what I was shooting. I know its not often people get to try them out.

Of course you meet the nicest people at the ranges; cause all of us Calgunners go there!

I too am happy to let someone shoot my pistols anytime. I actually prefer they use my ammo because I know it's safe. I just wish the people that are struggling a bit would ask for help sometimes because usually it just takes a little bit of coaching to get them into the black.

Alas, they are all sold. Both Pro's sold here at Calguns the Baer to a friend. But don't be shy when you see someone shoot a Baer or Pro. Most owners of these fine 1911's tend to be like minded and want others to experience it.

My M&P15-22 seems to draw the most attention. You do run into total jerks too, as Chester mentioned earlier, but it seems to be few and far between. For me, it is all about fun, doing something I really enjoy, and I get to spend time with my boys, and sometimes even the wife.

Today was great! Not many people at the range, and spent a good 3 hours shooting rifles and pistols as well as shooting the breeze with a couple other guys there. They had a good 6-8 rifles lined up on the rack, sending mainly 22 down range. They had some sweet .338 rifle there too...

Man oh man, I can not wait until I am retired...

dude, you passed on the chance to shoot a Les Baer? i've had the pleasure to shoot a couple, they are some of the finest lead-throwers i've ever laid hands on.

wish i'd gotten a couple shots on that Jardine Custom a guy brought to the range last week...

Guy let me and my buddy shoot his 50 Beowulf a few times, and we didn't know him! I was very grateful as I can imagine how much that dang ammo could cost

Gun stores don't have "test drives" of guns. Ya you can rent and try it out, but if they are not functioning correctly due to improper maintence. Then you second guess if you want that gun.
Best to try on a properly maintained gun. Very cool that they offered. I bet if you tried it out you'll be picking one up in no time =)
