CA Approved .380 Pistols

I'd like to get a small .380, but of course it seems like all the ones I'm looking at are not currently on the big Brother approved list, does anyone know if there's anything in the works to get these approved?: Ruger LCP, S&W Bodyguard 380, Taurus ACP and SIG P238.

Sorry I'm not familiar with this bit of legislation, a quick search came up with some sort of minimum length requirement that I believe would disqualify these guys??

As part of the single-shot mod, a longer barrel is installed that makes it meet the mimum length requirements.

If you're near Milpitas, stop in. If not, give them a call. They will explain the process to you. They have LCP's, Sig p238's, and everything else you could want. Careful though, being free from the roster is a slippery slope, one that will seriously impact your bank account.

Nothing comes close to the Bersa Thunder. Over the last 30 years I've shot pretty much every 380 made. The Bersa is completely in a class by itself... and it is only $279.

I can add another vote for the Bersa. I really like mine and everyone that has shot it likes it as well.

+1 on the bresa. Also, Kahr now has a new .380 that is ca legal. I will be purchasing mine next Wedendsay and will give a heads up 10 days or so after that.

A bit redundant but I too add a +1 for the Bersa Thunder .380

The Besa is a fine gun, but what it is not is a pocket pistol. when it comes to .380's there are a lot of nice ones out there, but many of us , like me, when it comes to a .380 for carry, we are looking for a very small pocket gun, and the Besa does not fit that roll, in that class were talking about the LCP, P380, .380 Bodyguard etc..


There are 9MM's out there about the same size and lighter than a Bersa, so yes, a Bersa/Firestorm is a good gun, but not a good pocket gun.

FWIW...I love my P230. (Now comes as a P232) It's light weight and very concealable. Can't wait until the Kimber Solo becomes available though.
