RUGER SECURITY SIX

I have a friend who wants to sell me a 6 inch blued security six with some holster wear on the front of the barrel but everything else is very clean he is asking for 300.00 I am not really into Ruger handguns because my revolvers have always been Smiths I just think they look nicer but looks like a sound gun and seems like a decent price ..what you guys think? good price ?

Sounds decent to me. Security Sixes are built like a tank.

I have a Ruger security six 4" built like a tank, picked it up from a fellow calgunner..good deal..and they are built to last longer than we will...cannot go wrong!
Thats a good price on it as well..

My first "real" handgun (after .22s) was a 4" Security Six blued---they had just been released---I still have two 4" Rugers---one blue, one stainless---truly great revolvers---$300. is a good price these days.

$300 is a good deal. You can hammer in a nail with that Ruger, and still shoot straight.

I had a security six for a while. It shot great but i did not like the grip. It was the old style and I could not find grips for it so I traded for a smith.

I have a stainless steel 6", security six. I put a Hogue grip on it last year and it is one of my favorite handguns to shoot now. With the original wood grips...normal 357 loads were fun but a little hard to control and endure after a handful of rounds. With the Hogue grip...like night and day, awesome gun. Great price at $300..I wouldn't hesitate.

I paid $250 for my SS 6" one in 1987! Thinking about inflation, $300 today is a great deal on a great gun.
