I OC and CCW in AZ - I have a CCW permit even though it's not necessary. I only have my Springer 1911 Loaded in SST....so it is very noticeable when OC. Open carrying I just stay aware of my surroundings, act calm and confident. Never been an issue. Only two people have brought it up - a store owner who seemed real interested in it and a guy from CA who was amazed that someone would be open carrying. It was a hot day, we had been hiking.

And...I know it's not CA; I lived there for a long time and got tired of the Chicken **** gun laws.

Based on the questions you asked in the now closed LEO thread you really need to visit opencary.org. Seriously.

            Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

That may be true and while i have no intentions of open carrying, it's his right to open carry if he wishes to.

most people here have talked about this, and debated this for years now... try doing yourself a favor and use a search feature and read over all of that information... or better yet take a look at the open carry site...

I would not even consider UOC in the SFV. There are GFSZ all over and you're going to be hard pressed to stay out of them. You really need to do a lot of research and have a good lawyer on retainer if you choose to UOC in valley.

Problem is, it's not a simple question. I believe you may be making a serious error if you actually believe that it is.

There is good reason for the many, long, contentious threads on UOC here.

I guess the answer to your question is "No". No one here has stories of UOC in the SFV. Just maybe, there's a good reason for your not being able to find any other answer.

No - magazines must also be carried openly.

That's an artifact of a really odd CA case, People v Hale (1974)
