The FNX is in the 9mm, and .40 caliber. The FNX was brought to market to bring the FNP45 features to the smaller caliber guns.

The standard FNP45 barrel is a drop-in replacement.

Did you have to purchase a seperate FNP45 barrel, or did your FFL have an extra? Was there an extra charge for that? And who did it for you? Thanks in advance.

Compared to the Glock 30 I loved the FN pistols. Their grip pattern was very nice and recoil seemed a little less than my Glock. The SA seemed very accurate.

I have heard about the feed problems as well on the FN 45 but the frequency of them wouldn't bother me at all. We're talking 500-800-1000 rounds fired until a feed problem. I would just stay away from those kinds of ammo people experienced problems with.

Alas, at that price you are talking HK, Sig, 1911, etc. The trouble with changing the barrel and plugging the super nice 13+ rounders to 10 bothers me with the magazines expensive price.

Feel one, shoot one and make your own decision.

After two more handgun purchases, this would be one of my last...I like the FNP-45. I am wholeheartedly pleased with my FNP-9 and if the big brother is similar I will also be happy.
