Which handgun to get next?

I have shot the Sig P226 and in 1911, I shot a SA TRP and a Sig 1911 GSR. The TRP was very nice but a little out of my price range. It looks like the 1911 camp is leading.

I always wanted a Sig and I though a .40SW would be a good round for carry since people say ballistics wise, its more punch than a 9mm and more penetration than a .45.

But it looks like the vote is for a 1911 first.

One beautiful combination I found (thanks to Ivanimal) is a CZ 97B .45ACP with the hammer replaced with a competition hammer, and some reduced power recoil and main springs, and light trigger work. The total should be around the rest of your list, and it's one heck of a gun.

Agreed! If you're going to add another caliber IMHO there are many out there better than .40 S&W. I would look at .357, .41, or .44...just soo fun!! If you have to go with one on the list get get the Kimber or other 1911 type or one of the Sigs in 9mm. Good luck and have fun they all will be an excellent addition but if you don't have a revolver it's a must.

Well...now I'm thinking if I'm going to get a 1911, might as well get a good one since I will not get another 1911 for awhile.

The two I'm most interested in are:
1. Kimber Custom TLE/RL II
2. Springfield Armory TRP Light Rail Armory Kote

Which is recommended? I like how both have a 4-5 pound trigger. I am going to be so broke...why do I want so many???

If you want a good, vice free 1911 you need to get a PC945

Get the 1911, i have a kimber eclipse target II and love it, btw, my next kimber will be a TLE/RL II

"Which Handgun to Get Next" is too much planning for me. In the last two weeks I've bought a Coonan 357 mag, a 1950's Colt Officers Model Match and an S & W 745. The only one I had ever thought of owning was the Colt. The others had never crossed my mind but were too good to pass on.
