    Which handgun to get next?

I currently have a HK USP .45 Full size and a Glock 19

I am trying to decide between:
    1. Sig P229R in .40SW
    2. Sig P226R in .40SW
    3. Kimber Custom II (I know I have a .45, but they are so nice!)
    4. some 1911 Carry

I don't think getting a CCW is very likely for Los Angeles, so chances are it will be a Safe Queen, but who knows...maybe someday or if I move out of California. And please don't say get all of them, as poor college student, it's hard enough to get one of the above items.

I'd say stick with another .45 - that way you can share ammo. If you go with a .40 you are going to have to make sure you have room for another stash.

Agrees. I'd get the 1911, with a VERY close runner up of the P229, but in 9mm (why add another caliber?).

          No .22 LR?

If your list is complete, please consider getting a S&W 617 or 41 in .22 LR. The ammunition is 1/10 the price of the .40 or .45 and they are a lot of fun.

So, you still don't have a 1911 yet and you already have a gun in .45 ACP. Go for the Kimber. No use getting a different caliber. Don't go expanding buncha calibers early on, consolidate em' all while you're still ahead.

get a 1911 of some kind before they drop off the list.

I see Sigs as equal with the HK. You need to get something better so get a good quality 1911.

Another vote for a S&W .357 magnum. Everyone needs a nice big frame long barrel wheelgun - 686, 27, whatever.

Personally I see Sig pistols about 2 notches above HK but thats just me make your judgements with your own experiences.

go to the range and try them all out.

Or so shooting with a friend that owns what you are thinking about purchasing.
