Haha nice! I'm doing my transfer to Straightline as well since I heard of them in a previous thread. gussler's is great, done several transactions there. $60 out the door for a transfer, plus required use tax if bought from an online vendor. but that's the government's fault, really...Comment

I guess you haven't DROSed a gun lately. Don't know about So Cal, but Gussler's and Parallax are both charging tax. And of course there's the DROS fee itself, so neither of those is $35 "OTD."
Poway Weapons & Gear doesn't charge tax (yet), it's $75 OTD.Comment

The use tax is old, but folks were supposed to report it with their state taxes. Just like you're supposed to report all out of state purchases. The problem with firearms, is the paper trail. And the easiest way to make sure they get their money is to hold the ffl hostage.Comment
