    Don't have $24,525

In case you really liked the Browning Matched set of 1911's but you couldn't bid on the first one you can now get one of 200 that will be made for only $4,669.

These are classified as C&R by definition and would be available here in California.
    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I posted a thread about this somewhere. I also included the 1911+knife set. They are both nice sets, but I couldn't let them sit there and collect dust......just to have a rare collection.

I hear you. For that kind of money I could have many guns to go out and shoot.

Interesting that the .22 is an A1. Would have expected them to be the same model.
I voted against Obama before it was cool.

The full length dust cover rail makes a world of difference in the "when I run out of bullets I'm going to beat you to death with the pistol" look that causes bad guys to run in fear, and lesser men to feel inadequate. It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911!

What I wish is that the .22 was full size.

I kind of like the difference in size, but that would probably change once I felt the difference in size(in my hands)

I'm working on my own 100 yr tribute sidearm - Laser etched collage of all major conflicts on the slide, barrel, and grips.

Still deciding on colors but leaning towards black slide/sniper gray frame/polished hardware.

It will be a shooter but mostly on display ready for action...

I don't have huge hands but a std Government model fits real nice in my hands.

wow, nice looking 1911;however, I just cannot buy firearms to just use it as collection. I have to shoot it and shoot some more.
