But if you're in a handgun course all day using the G21SF, it feels right at home and you don't feel any different about it.

Both a 1911 and Glock 21(SF) are great guns, but it's hard to decide between the two if you are going to shoot them back to back. You really need to take a 1911 out for a day and shoot it, and then take a Glock out on another day and shoot it (or any other .45 handgun). That way you have a fair assumption as to what you like better.
I actually prefer my Glock 21SF out of the box. Fits my hand a lot better than my old Glock 21. I took a PC 832 class back in 1998 with a Beretta 92FS & switched to my Glock 21. I was pleasantly surprised and became a Glock fanboy afterwards.
I usually finish off my range trips with my Glock 21SF. I just wanted a 1911 platform just for the hell of it. They're both fun guns to shoot and the RIA feels a lot more comfortable in my hands. But if someone broke in through my door & gets passed the dogs, I don't have time to fumble with safety or load a ball ammo hoping my rounds doesn't over penetrate. Just my .02 cents.

I think you have the Ranger SXTs. I should try running those along with my talons.

I have read in some forums that the ramp needs to be polished. Or try running 7 round mags in them. For now, I'll stick with my Glock 21SF out of the box.

One time the bottom fell out when I was trying to get it unstuck & dumped magazine guts & ammo all over the line...
I'll give that a try one of these days. I just tend to think that something you bought for so much should run fine out of the box, and that you don't need to fiddle with it just for it to function properly.
