    Need good G17/26 IWB holster

    Hey there,

Was looking for a Glock 17 and Glock 26 IWB holster. Just wanted something comfortable and with some retention. Have seen the Galco N3 and the Fobus, what else is out there.

You don't need retention for a well made IWB, see my signature

Do you use ttgunleather for your M&P?
If so, can you either post pictures in here or send me a picture PM please.
I am in the market for M&P compact holster right now.

As for OP. what type of holster you looking for? leather or kydex?

I would definately prefer leather because I think it will be more comfortable.

Right now I'm using my Occidental Leather (TT designed) IWB from my FS9 for my compact or my Raven Concealment Vanguard if I pocket carry.

I have yet to find any IWB holster which I can describe as comfortable.

                My issues with IWB:

                1) The gun is basically smashed up against your body which makes it difficult to get your thumb in between the grip and your body for a quick grip and fast draw.

                2) When I cinch my belt to a comfortable point so that my pants feel secure to property support the weight of the gun, the resulting tension of belt smashing gun against my body tends to clamp the gun into the holster, again making a quick smooth draw difficult.

I picked up one of these http://www.blackhawk.com/product/Lea...,1459,1460.htm

I like it because you can attach/detach it from your belt without having to undo your belt. It rides high enough on the belt that with a subcompact like a G26 it's easy to cover with even just an untucked t-shirt. The bottom of the holster is also open, so you can use it for a any size Glock 9/40 fullsize to compact. Being of slender build even with an IWB holster I still get some printing from the grip, so if I'm gonna print I might as well carry more comfortably.

They're a little hard to find right now though cuz they are backordered from the factory, but I was able to find one, a lefty no less, on ebay for about $55 shipped.

I have a 17 and 26 and am currently using this, fits both, so I only had to buy one holster:
Shop DeSantis GunHide for premium leather and kydex holsters, duty gear, and more. Experience family-owned, American-made quality. Find your perfect fit today.

That tension helps keep the gun in and with the proper holster drawing shouldn't be a problem. Get yourself a premium leather holster with a premium leather belt. They are more expensive than the other stuff out there but it really makes a difference in terms of stability and comfort. With Milt Sparks I can comfortably carry a full size 1911 all day.

OP, I wouldn't skimp on carry gear. Save up for a premium leather holster.

Same with TT Gunleather and Occidental Leather holsters, I've had all three makes and a dozen kydex models or hybrids.

Comp-Tac CTAC. It fits all 3 of my Glock (17, 19 and 26)

I would stay away from the galco n3. I have it and use it but it can hang up when you draw your pistol out of it. holsters with 2 belt loops are better.
