You can't go wrong with any of the big names: Browning, Ruger, Walther, and they all cost about the same ($300).

I prefer the Buckmark, but thats just me.

Ruger 22/45 MKIII. Sometimes they're on sale for $199.

I think if you want stainless you are going to have to go with a Ruger.

Stick with ruger or browning or a 22 older revolver

You could get this, a freedom arms 22lr 252. It is legal to be purchased new, will run you about 2k though

It is a little big though for a 5 shot. Here It is next to my S&W 610 with a 6.5 inch barrel.

I have two of the Beretta Neos pistols, one with a 4.5" barrel and one with the 6". I love both of these pistols. They are very accurate, easy to clean and will shoot anything from the cheapest bulk Walmart ammo to CCI mini mags, but the bulk stuff is much cheaper. I also purchased Beretta's carbine kit for the pistols and it works perfectly. I would highly recommend this little firearm to anyone thinking about a rimfire pistol. They are at top of the list of my favorite pistols and I have two large safes full of firearms.

I just bought this gun a few days ago.

I will tell you how long it takes for Bud's to ship it to my FFL.

I really don't think you can go wrong with any mentioned above.

New and stainless . . . I would suggest a SS Ruger MKIII678 Hunter. It's a great plinker and quite accurate, as well.

The MKIII is not as difficult to field strip or detail strip, as some may claim. You simply need to have a basic understanding of how the gun is put together and how the parts work together. If so desired, there are many after market components, which will make the MK III even a sweeter shooter.

My MK III Hunter is one of my favorite .22lr handguns.

Regardless of which .22lr handgun you may opt for . . . Enjoy!

Ruger single six. Possibly the best training pistol ever. Heavy enough so there's no recoil, accurate, simple as can be.
