Any word if the Ruger LC9 will be CA Compliant?

OK...so I saw the ads saying the Ruger LC9 will have a loaded chamber indicator, and possibly a mag disconnect. If they do will it still be able to go on the list without the "microstamping" firing pin? Will Ruger even bother...

Microstamping is not happening as far as I know. I think it will be on the list from what I've heard.

If its not on the roster you can try an FFL dealer that does single shot pistols like Valkrie Arms in Milpitas or PRK Arms in Fresno.

It seems that Ruger specificly made the gun to be CA compliant, so I expect it to show up on the roster soon.

Also, as far as I know, "microstamping" is effectivly dead, only one company can do it and, if I remember right, as long as only one company can provide the microstamping technology the requirement does not go into effect.

The Ruger LC9 appears to have a CA DOJ approved chamber load indicator. So, as long as it also has a magazine disconnect, then Ruger can submit it for testing to be placed on the approved list.

This reviewer seems to think it's gonna be a CA gun "big market there...."

This gun looks great. What guns are comparable to this on the market (comparison purposes)?

It has all of the necessary nonsense to CA compliant, so it will probably just be a matter of Ruger submitting it for testing.

Kahr CW9 Most likely comparable in price, very similar, 7+1, I'd prefer the

Kahr P380 verses the Ruger LCP, no comparison in quality, but
Honestly the Kahr P380 is probably not worth the extra cost

LC9 has a magazine safety, frame/slide safety and chamber indicator to help satisfy your weenies in Sacramento. All unnecessary crap on a DOA handgun.
