    S&W 686 7 shot?

    Kalifonians,
I am getting a S&W 686 7 shot with the 2.5 in barrel and I need to know if anyone out there has opinions, pictures and just insight about the gun. Now don't jump this to fast people but I would like to see some of your pics for future ideas. I've seen the revolver porn and want to make mines like that. So send them down range people.

Well, 686 is a great gun, as are the rest of smiths. I just picked up a 627 8 shot and I love it.

Pops has a 686 2.5 and it is his favorite revolver to shoot....

I like a "Plus" S&W. Especially in the 686. I have one in a 4" Model. Lots of fun and accurate. It always surprises me because I have one extra round. I still love my six shooter S&W's. Just something classic about them. c good

I have 686+ 4" and 627PC 5", both got 4 lbs trigger, very accurate, 2" groups at 25 yards off sandbags.

686+4" here as well, I highly recommend it. More accurate than I am, and an all around nice handful of gun. Any minute someone will get on here warning you to get a pre-lock model. Mine has the lock and I've had absolutely no problems with it.

I have a 686+ 6" and two 686+ 3". Even most factory ammo will shoot 2" at 25 yards from sandbag. I've also noticed that the seven shooters have a slight shorter trigger pull than the six shooters. That made a big difference to my wife.

Here is a picture of the 6". I don't have a good one of the 3" yet.

Oh now that's a niiice gun. I heard about the lock thing and dont really care. I mean I have a BULLET BOTTON on my AR sooooo a lock on my smith ain't gonna hurt me. I can't wait till my gun get out of back ground check prison.

These L frame Smiths are arguably some of the best revolvers ever made. You won't regret getting one. They handle great and are super accurate with great triggers.

Because the 3" models are intended as SD guns, I removed the lock and plugged the hole in the frame with The Plug.

My wife's quite happy with hers. She's taken a couple of shooting classes with it.

Fowlers in Orange has one in the case. Someone was trying to sell the 8 rounder from S&W hyperformance but was priced a little high. Do a search maybe you can find it and make a deal.

That's my next present to myself once I pay off Xmas and the raise in CA tuition costs for my son at Cal State Chico..... I'm about 8K in the hole but once I'm even I'm gonna get a 686, 4 inch, plus, in seven round I think. That is if I keep my job this month...? I work for an "evil" pharmaceutical company and we are being taxed into oblivion under Obama care so they need to lay off some folks soon... I guess that's what Nancy and Harry call job creation....? Regards

                            I love my 686 +

If seven shots don't git 'er done, then it doubles as a 12 pound hammer ...

                            love it.
