I agree. This must have been a safe queen if it only has 1,000 rounds through it. I've always been a 1911 man but I love my Glocks and I expect them to run for a long time with lower maintenance costs than a 1911 (much less).

Buy it and enjoy the hell out of it.

There's a Glock out at FrontSight that one of the instructors uses as his range/demo gun. He claims to have had around over 200k through it, and has never cleaned it, beyond wiping off dust and running a dirty bore snake snake through it now and then.

G19 would take at least 1000rds to warm up....be sure those were all FMJ rounds though.

On a tangent, I see a ton of guns for sale with 100-200 rounds shot advertised. Does nobody shoot their guns anymore? Or does everyone own so many that they can't shoot them all that often?

Everything I own (other than some odd ball BP and antiques) has at least 2K rounds down the tube.

1,000 rounds is like 2-3 range trips or matches for me.

1,000 rounds is nothing for a glock.

I had a Second gen G19 had like 4,000 to 5,000 rounds and it still kept on ticking.

4-5k rounds? That's about time to replace a recoil spring!

Ten times that number and you might get to the point where you're actually wearing the pistol out.

I would be in big trouble if guns were worn after 1,ooo rounds. I would have to buy a new gun every three weeks. Since there is a 4 week wait between purchases....
