    On the list?

I'm looking at the S&W 1911 Scandium Alloy/Stainless Steel slide, extended slide and can't quite gather if it's on the CA DOJ list or not.

    This is the gun: http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/w...layErrorView_Y

This is the closest description on the list: 'SW1911 SC / Stainless Steel, Alloy Pistol 4.25" .45 ACP 7/11/2011'

You figure this is a CA ok gun?

My guess is no, it's not. Models on the list with SKU numbers appear to be marked as such. No 108310 on the list.
But I dunno. I'd contact S&W directly about this.
"The designer of the gun had clearly not been instructed to beat about the bush. 'Make it evil,' he'd been told. 'Make it totally clear that this gun has a right end and a wrong end. Make it totally clear to anyone standing at the wrong end that things are going badly for them...This is not a gun for hanging over the fireplace or sticking in the umbrella stand, it is a gun for going out and making people miserable with.'" -Douglas Adams

All S&W 1911's have SKU numbers but only some of the S&W 1911's on the list actually show SKU numbers.

Hard to say. If you look at the page you have linked they only say that the Model is a SW1911; the one you are showing from the List says SW1911 SC. But, when you look at SW website I don't see anything that says it's a Model SW1911 SC.

I would call SW and see what they say.
        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Well, the GOG genie didn't say that line about the gun in question but I used it to check the new S&W 380 auto as well because I know that's not on the list. It didn't say that line about that gun either so I can't see this is a trustworthy method.

For GOG, you have to click on instant quote, and then it will tell you.
Also, instant quote only works with in stock items.
Item#108310, shows 4 in stock, here is your answer:
"We're sorry, there are certain restrictions in your area that may prevent you from purchasing this item."

I guess, single shot is the way to go, if you want that one.

S&W has the worse names for their 1911's and their site does not help much :-\

And for clarity, there are only a few handguns on the "list," which is the CA Assault Weapon list, which makes guns illegal.
The "roster" is the term that should be used.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.
