Help with Gabilondo y Cia Llama IV(Fixed W/Range Report)

I believe it is a Llama IV from what I've read. It says 9mm/38 on the slide and has no grip safety. It resembles a 1911 alot. The barrel is around 5 1/4" long.
I've researched this handgun online for a couple of days and was looking for any personal experiences with it. It is missing the recoil spring and guide I think. Also missing the magazine. I think I found a magizine online but haven't found the recoil spring. I can take pictures of it later if that helps. Any advice or help welcome. Thanks.

I can't remember the model number or not but it sounds like you have a Llama pistol that chambers both the 9mm Largo and .38 Super. Search 9mm Largo for more info.
    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Try this link... Many Spanish gun experts here with contacts in USA and in Spain for parts:

Thanks guys I'll look into that. Seems like it would be a nice gun. I hope I can get it back to shooting form.

Very nice. Looks to be in pretty good condition. Be sure to check out Numrich for the parts you need.

From that last picture, it appears that you have the spring guide. It looks like you need the recoil spring and the recoil spring plug.

It looks similar to the STAR MODELO B in 9mm Luger except the serial # on the model B is on the bottom (magazine well) with a B above it.

Try this method: remove the barrel and drop a fired 9mm luger casing in the chamber, if it sits flush it maybe a 9mm luger, if it sits higher it maybe a 9mm Largo. You may need to excert a little force to chamber the casing since it has expanded from being fired.

taloft is correct, you need the recoil spring and the recoil spring plug.

                      Update

Just installed a new recoil spring and plug. Also found a magazine that seems to function so far. Now I need to find some ammo to run through and see how it works. Thanks all for your help so far.

If you have a C&R you can buy it at Century for $3.87 per 25. If not check out these people.

I saw that too. Prices are not too bad. I found a couple others but prices were a lil higher or they are corrosive.

Ammunition to go has them too.

How bad would it be to shoot corrosive ammo? I read that you have to clean the gun really well with something special.
