Ruger GP100 NEW for $449.98 TODAY ONLY!

Turner's has their 12 days of Xmas Promo going on. I just got an e-mail for Tuesday, 12-21-10 only. Ruger GP100 Blued in 4" or 6" NEW for $449.98. Again, THIS IS TUESDAY ONLY!
I have owned a GP100 for over 20 years. I think this is one of the best .357 mag/.38 specials on the market. If you want a .357 mag revolver, today is your day ;-).
    Good luck.

Ugh, wish you hadn't posted this... now I'm highly tempted to get a 4" Blued...

My 10 day for S&W 627 is up today too... must exercise discipline and resistance....

EDIT: Just remembered that I had to have the 627 shipped in. Probably the first time 1 in 30 was beneficial... made a hard decision, easy for me.

That's a good deal, considering the Bud's price is $468 shipped for the same gun:

If you look on Turner's Facebook wall, you'll see daily sales and updates there.

Sucks for me right now since i'm in TX until tomorrow night.

Damn it. I hate Calguns. Always makes me want to spend my money.
            Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I know it's probably been debated to death before (and I did search before I throw this out), what do you all think about blued vs stainless steel on the GP100?

I am planning to get a 357 revolver *after* my 9mm (just started buying recently) but this seems like an awesome deal. Only thing holding me back is the blued finish, as I was planning to buy one in stainless steel

I have Stainless, my Brother-in-law has blued. I have owned several guns in each finish.
The $450 price is a savings of about $100. Is it worth it to pay an extra $100 to get Stainless over blued?
For me, the answer is usually no. However, many guys would say it is worth $100 to them.
Stainless or blued, they should both shoot the same. You have to decide the value for yourself.

Or you could get one for $550 in the PPT used section

Turner's has some good sale prices; wish they were up here in the good part of the state!

Got my stainless GP100 4" at Turners over the weekend and wouldn't change it. (I wouldn't be surprised if they're sold out of the 4" stainless by now) Always get the model or version you want. In the long run you'll be happier. But if you're a fan of blued carbon steel this is a super deal. Worth slogging through rain soaked traffic after work. But absolutely call ahead to make sure they're not sold out and keep your fingers crossed they'll have one for you. I doubt they'll hold it for you even if they have one on the shelf for this one day sale.

funny thing is I was looking at this yesterday at Turners. Had the sales rep said it's going on sale tomorrow and I can give you that price I would have bought it then but today I don't have the time to get there. =(

There's a 4" SS version used in my LGS at five-somethin'. Not really tempted seein's how I just put an 80's vintage 4" 686 in pistol jail for about $70 more.
