I'm curious... was the price from Turner's better or worse than the price from the "other" place?

Very cool! Make sure to clean and oil it before taking it to the range for the first time, and it'll treat you right.

Turner's price was about $50.00 less. I used that savings to buy two tac-mags since it only comes with one.

I purchased a Smith 1911 about a month ago. It was an ordered gun. The serial number was given to the shop and we started the DROS before the gun was at the shop. As it turned out, the gun arrived one day before the 10 days expired so it was in jail just one day.

But the shop had a pretty good idea that the serial number was correct, I was getting the last one the distributor had on hand. It is a matter of trust of the store to get a DROS going without being able to eyeball the serial number.

I just today purchased a Royal II, not sure if it is in stock or it will be a back order cluster **** . Bought it on line from a reputable dealer, purchased my Beretta over and under from them. I will call on monday and get the skinny. I am willing to wait a bit though, I like that pistol .
